"Seasons of Faith"
Galatians 6:8:10
8 The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith
Isaiah 53:2B-3
2B he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected[d] by men, a man of sorrows[e] and acquainted with[f] grief;[g] and as one from whom men hide their faces[h] he was despised, and we esteemed him not. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. 10 Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him;
John 12:24-25 NKJV
II Corinthians 5:17b
“...old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
Matthew 28 - The Great Commission
16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Mark 16 - The Great Commission
14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16:19 - Christ Ascends to God’s Right Hand
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
Galations 6:9
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Process of Sowing
Steadfastness
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and immovable. Always excel in the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
Partnership of Sowing
Co-laboring with God and wai ting for the harvest season
Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.
John 4:35
Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”
Products of sowing
Joy
Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.
Strength
But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
Respect
For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
Hundredfold Return
Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again.
But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
In the morning sow your seed, And in the evening do not withhold your hand; For you do not know which will prosper, Either this or that, Or whether both alike will be good.
Eternal Life
Galatians 6:8
The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.
